"Might be the best piece of theater you'll see this year. Magic has been officially redefined!" Los Angeles magazine
"An unexpected puzzle of a show. Raises questions about how identity is felt, expressed, and perceived." – Los Angeles Times
"It's hard to imagine any evening at the theater being more personal, more moving, or more magical." – Los Angeles magazine
“Your eyes betray you at every turn, showing you events that seemingly could not have possibly taken place – and yet they have.” – TheaterMania.com

"In & Of Itself makes the case for the art of magic with the power of storytelling. Derek DelGaudio isn’t just performing magic tricks but presenting a moving deeply personal and compelling narrative, using magic as a metaphor to reach a deeper truth.” – /Film

"An enticing and intelligently moving show by a great magical artist." – Steve Martin
"Derek has created the best magic show I’ve ever seen and that might be damning with faint praise. It’s Marcel Duchamp and Andy Kaufman if they could do perfect bottom deals. It will blow your mind." – Penn Jillette
"Imagine what Samuel Beckett would have written if he'd been optimistic, American, and a virtuoso magician." – Teller
"Derek isn't just raising the bar, he's moving the whole stadium. He's changing the game, and it's exhilarating to watch." – David Blaine

In & Of Itself is a show constructed as a metaphoric labyrinth, filled with allegorical illusions and centered around a single paradoxical truth. From the writer and producers of the highly acclaimed Nothing to Hide and Director Frank Oz, comes the new show by Derek DelGaudio, In & Of Itself, produced by Glenn Kaino and Tom Werner with original music by Mark Mothersbaugh.

No one under the age of 16 will be admitted to this production.
There is no late seating and no re-entry while the performance is in progress.
