Illusion Designers Francis Menotti & David Kwong

Francis Menotti
Francis Menotti is a magician, through and through. With two decades of professional performance and creation of illusions, Menotti specializes in original, made-to-order magic experience for film, theater and television. Considered one of the most creative minds in magic today, he’s had his hand in productions like The Immigrant and The House with a Clock in its Walls, and was the full-time on-set magic consultant for ABC’s magic crime drama, Deception. In 2015, Menotti became one of the first to fool Penn and Teller on their hit show, Fool Us. He currently resides in Philadelphia with his performance and life partner, Lindsey Noel.

David Kwong
With his expertise in puzzles and illusions, David Kwong delights and challenges audiences around the world with his intellectual brand of magic. A veteran “cruciverbalist” (crossword puzzle constructor), Kwong creates puzzles for The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Wall Street Journal. His consulting work in film and television includes Now You See Me, The Imitation Game and NBC’s Blindspot. He produced ABC’s Deception, one of many collaborations with Francis Menotti. A TED Talk favorite, Kwong routinely speaks at corporate events about the science of illusion. His book Spellbound: Seven Principles of Illusion was published by HarperCollins in 2016. Kwong’s one-man show, The Enigmatist, “an immersive evening of puzzles, cryptology and illusions,” has enjoyed a sold-out run in New York and will be coming to the Geffen Playhouse in May 2020.
