If you educate a girl, then you educate her community. We believe that if we invest in our girls, we invest in our community. The power of Black women is something that we firmly believe in, and we at The Collective Identity Mentoring seek to look beyond Black women and girls’ ability to survive to uplift and support their will to thrive. Unfortunately, young Black girls and women are force-fed negative stereotypes about themselves daily. Our mission is to create a psychosocial safe space for young Black women to explore who they are and how to identify themselves. Our mission is to do this through one-on-one mentoring and programs designed to help them define their path in life.
