POSITION OVERVIEW

Join our team as a Front of House Associate, the welcoming face of the theatre during performances and events. This customer service-oriented role is crucial for creating an exceptional experience for our patrons.

This is a seasonal position through the end of Angry, Raucous, and Shamelessly Gorgeous. Must have evening and weekend availability. We require an availability of 3 shifts per week, 2 must be on the weekend. We are specifically looking for people available Saturday and Sunday matinees. We are accepting applications for a variety of roles; including but not limited to Ushers and Concessions staff.

ALL FRONT OF HOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Greet patrons, scan tickets, and direct patrons to their seats.
  • Handle and resolve patron inquires and requests, including assisting with accessibility.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of current productions, institutional initiative, and ticketing information.
  • Maintain Front of House spaces and assist in theatre clean up.
  • A genuine love for theatre, as this position requires being present in the theatre during many performances.
  • Other duties as assigned.

CONCESSIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Bar/Concessions including selling snacks, beverages, and merchandise.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with safety and alcohol service regulations.
  • Accurately handle cash and POS system.
  • Maintain cleanliness or organization of the bar, kitchen, and other work spaces.
  • Work collaboratively with Front of House staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work as a Front of House usher; creating a positive guest experience, scanning tickets, greeting, and directing patrons.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous bartending or concessions experience needed.
  • Must be 21 + with a knowledge of California liquor laws and regulations for Concessions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills as well as be approachable and attuned to patron needs.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work in crowds and high-stress situations.
  • Positive attitude with the desire and ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy performance times.
  • Prior experience working Front of House in a live theatre setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs. and need to be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work Saturday and Sunday matinees.

COMPENSATION

  • $18.00-$20.00/hour
