Gregg Daniel is an actor and stage director who has appeared in over 100 television shows and films. He was a series regular on HBO’s True Blood as “Reverend Daniels,” had a recurring role on HBO’s Insecure, and appeared on Hacks. His film credits include Joker: Folie à Deux. On stage, he has performed with the Antaeus Theatre Company in Hamlet and appeared in the solo work The Duat by Roger Q. Mason at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Other credits include Joe Turner's Come and Gone at Mark Taper Forum; Jitney at South Coast Repertory and Pasadena Playhouse; Death of a Salesman, A Christmas Carol,Fences, and James and the Giant Peach at South Coast Repertory; and Romeo & Juliet and The Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare Festival/LA. Regional credits include “Master Harold”…and the Boys” at Cape May Stage and Actors Theatre of Louisville; and Cyrano de Bergerac and Julius Caesar at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. As a director, he is known for mounting August Wilson’s work at A Noise Within. He is the Artistic Director of Lower Depth Theatre.
