Miranda

Lin-Manuel Miranda is an award-winning composer, lyricist, playwright, actor, producer, and filmmaker whose groundbreaking work has transformed contemporary musical theater. Born and raised in New York City to Puerto Rican parents, Miranda first gained widespread acclaim with his Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights, which blended hip-hop, salsa, and traditional Broadway storytelling to celebrate the vibrancy of Washington Heights.

He became an international phenomenon with Hamilton, the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical that reimagined the story of Alexander Hamilton through a diverse cast and a genre-defying score inspired by rap, R&B, and Broadway traditions. The production earned widespread critical acclaim and multiple Tony Awards, cementing Miranda as one of the most influential creative voices of his generation.

Beyond the stage, Miranda has contributed music and performances to major film and television projects including Moana, Encanto, Mary Poppins Returns, and Tick, Tick… Boom!. Known for his boundless creativity, cultural impact, and advocacy for arts education and disaster relief efforts in Puerto Rico, Miranda continues to shape the future of storytelling across mediums.
