Xochitl Romero is an award-winning actor and writer. Off-Broadway, she originated the roles of “Carmen” in To the Boneat the Cherry Lane Theatre and “Penelope” in Chimichangas and Zoloft at Atlantic Theater Company. Recent regional theatre credits include: Cost of Living (Ovation Award winner, The Fountain Theatre); Crabs in a Bucket (The Echo Theater Company); Queens (La Jolla Playhouse); Mutual Philanthropy (Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA); Blackbird (B. Iden Payne Award winner, Hyde Park Theatre). Her recent film and television credits include: St. Denis Medical (NBC); Ben Affleck’s Animals (Netflix); The Conners and Station 19 (ABC); The Mosquito Coast (Apple TV+); A Little Family Drama (Amazon), to name a few. As a writer/performer, she co-wrote HisPanic Attack, the first All-Latinx Sketch Show at The Second City Hollywood. Her thriller, Bernie is currently touring the film festival circuit having garnered multiple awards including Best Screenplay, Best Actress, and Best Director.
