Candace Nicholas-Lippman is an NAACP Theatre Award–winning playwright, actress, poet, and teaching artist. Stage credits include Fat Ham, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), and her award-winning autobiographical solo show, A Rose Called Candace, presented in Los Angeles and Off-Broadway and now available as an audiobook. Her television credits include Blindspotting (STARZ), Good Trouble (Freeform), and Grey’s Anatomy (ABC). Candace is also a spoken word artist and published poet whose work explores identity, faith, family, healing, and freedom. She is thrilled to make her Geffen Playhouse debut with Purpose and is deeply grateful to God and everyone who continues to support her artistic journey.
