Colm Summers is a director of theater, opera, and film from Waterford, Ireland, based between Los Angeles, New York, and Dublin. Selected credits: The Inheritance (Geffen Playhouse), Portia Coughlan (Abbey Theatre), Wednesday (New York Live Arts), The KILL ONE Race (Playwrights Horizons), La Clemenza di Tito (Grand Théâtre de Genève), The Rehearsal, Playing the Dane (Abbey Theatre), Dike by Hannah Benitez (Urbanite Theatre), Love à la Mode (Smock Alley Theatre), Gays Against the Free State! (Dublin Fringe Festival), Enemy of the Stars (Dublin & Morocco). Colm has worked with The Wooster Group, the feath3r theory, Milo Rau, Dead Centre, and Pan Pan (Dublin/Ghent/New York). Read Colm’s essays in Études, Blast at 100 (Brill), and in Charles Macklin and the Theatres of London (Liverpool University Press). As a playwright, Colm can be found in Fresh Cuts: A Selection of Plays from Dublin Fringe Festival (Oberon). He is a Dublin Fringe Radical Spirit Award nominee, and was selected for the Dublin Theatre Festival Next Stage cohort, and Pan Pan International Mentorship.
