O'Hara

David O’Hara has starred in over 100 films, television shows and theatrical productions in the last thirty years. The most notable being the Oscar nominated Hotel Rwanda and the Oscar winning The Departed and Braveheart, as well as critically acclaimed television series such as Prime Suspect, The Tudors and Luther to name a few. Theater credits include one season with the New Shakespeare Company performing Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, followed by three years (two seasons) at The Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford-upon-Avon where he played leading roles in The Taming of the Shrew (directed by Jonathan Miller), Cymbeline (directed by Bill Alexander) and Romeo and Juliet (directed by Terry Hands). Modern plays include the award-winning Fashion and Bite of the Night by Howard Barker, directed by Danny Boyle. David played ‘Colquhoun’ in The Royal Court’s production of Colquhoun and MacBride, written by John Byrne, and also played ‘Repetilov’ in Chatsky directed by Jonathan Kent at the Almeida Theatre in London, translated by John Burgess.
