David’s work includes Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, Amélie, Girlfriend, In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), and Mother Courage and Her Children at Berkeley Repertory Theatre; and The Wizard of Oz at American Conservatory Theater. David’s recent credits in New York include Becky Shaw, Prince Faggot, and Stereophonic, as well as the upcoming Awake and Sing! revival and Purple Rain. He also designed sets and costumes for Sondheim’s final musical, Here We Are, both in NY and London. He has received Tony, Obie, Drama Desk, and Henry Hewes Design Awards for his work.
