Donna Simone Johnson is thrilled to be making her Geffen Playhouse debut. She most recently appeared in the World Premiere of Inda Craig-Galván’s A Hit Dog Will Holler at Playwrights’ Arena / Skylight Theatre Company and is a proud company member of Oregon Shakespeare Festival, last seen as Somerset in Bring Down The House (Parts I & II). Other credits include Broken Fences, (NAACP Award, Best Lead Actress, The Road Theatre Company), Dr. Van Helsing in Kate Hamill’s Dracula (Actors Theatre of Louisville), I Go Somewhere Else (Playwright’s Arena), The Bluest Eye (Virginia Stage Company), Joe Turner’s Come and Gone (The Resident Acting Company), The Cherry Orchard (Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum) and numerous national and international tours including Pang!, a New York Times-acclaimed podcast. Film and television credits include: The Inspectors; Teachers.; Agent X; Super Drags (recurring); and most recently WarnerMedia OneFifty/HBO Max’s Bertie the Brilliant.
