Since 1989, French has been an artist in residence for Justin Tanner at the legendary Cast Theatre. Over the past twenty years he has originated roles in such favorites as Zombie Attack (which went on to become L.A.'s longest running play), Party Mix, Teen Girl, Happy Time X-Mas, Intervention, and Pot Mom - for which he won an L.A. Weekly award. Once the company moved to The Zephyr, he appeared in Space Therapy and, this years' Voice Lessons (with Laurie Metcalf). Other theatre credits include Little Egypt at the Matrix, The Nerd at the Colony, Romeo and Juliet at South Coast Rep, as well as King Lear, Richard 2 and Comedy Of Errors - all for the Grove Shakespeare Festival French is best known for his role as Harry Solomon on the hit show Third Rock From The Sun, which ran for six years on N.B.C. Other television credits include Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show, Just Shoot Me, News Radio, Mad T.V., Bones, The Coser, C.S.I., and Pushing Daisies. Film roles include Stargate, Leaving Las Vegas, Dick, Love Stinks, The Flock, Give 'em Hell Malone and most recently received critical acclaim for his dark turn in the David Lynch produced Surveillance. French is proud to be working at The Geffen.
