Irene Sofia Lucio recently starred in Disruption at The Pershing Square Signature Center as well as the Tony– and Pulitzer Prize–winning play, Liberation, originating the role of “Isidora” in its Off-Broadway and Broadway runs. Irene also originated the role of “Patricia” in Jeremy O’Harris’ Slave Play, through its runs Off-Broadway, Broadway, on the West End, and in Los Angeles. A regular of the New York theatre scene, Irene has worked with The Public Theater, MCC Theater, New York Theatre Workshop, Second Stage Theater, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Irene is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, with degrees from Princeton and Yale School of Drama.
