Classically trained actor Omar J. Dorsey is widely known for his impressive roles in multiple Academy Award-winning films including Django Unchained, The Blind Side and Selma. This summer he will co-star in Queen Sugar, a drama television series created, directed and executive produced by Ava DuVernay alongside Oprah Winfrey. Later this year, Dorsey will grace the silver screen opposite Miles Teller and Amy Schumer in the Dreamworks/Amblin Entertainment drama Thank You for Your Service. He can currently be seen in a recurring role as Ralph Church on NBC’s award-winning period drama Aquarius. Dorsey recently co-starred opposite Liev Schreiber in Showtime’s critically acclaimed crime drama Ray Donovan. In 2013, Dorsey co-starred with Danny McBride in the critically acclaimed HBO comedy series Eastbound & Down. An Atlanta native, Dorsey studied acting at Georgia State University and trained under storied actor Afemo Omilami. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
