and recently completed six years of editing the biannual
Eugene O’Neill Review
. His scholarly writings on O’Neill largely concern the playwright’s marriage to Agnes Boulton. A few years ago he grew a mustache to perform as O’Neill in a frame play concerning O’Neill’s long-lost one-act

, which resurfaced in 2011 by way of Agnes Boulton. He has also written books about Wallace Shawn and Sir Henry Irving, and his
