No outside food and beverages are allowed. Food and beverages may be purchased at the Geffen Playhouse bar and consumed in the lobby and courtyard areas. Food is not allowed inside the theater, but beverages with an appropriate lid can be taken into the theaters for certain performances.

THEATER RENOVATIONS / HEALTH & SAFETY

Geffen Playhouse has implemented significant renovations, improvements, and new protocols to ensure the comfort, well-being, and safety of our patrons, including:

  • Completing a systematic ventilation survey of all Geffen Playhouse areas to identify and upgrade any air balance deficiencies according to CDC guidelines.
  • Upgrading and deep cleaning HVAC system to improve filtration and clean outdoor-airflow, as well as replacing all filters with MERV-13 and HEPA filters to meet the CDC and ASHRAE guidelines.
  • Upgrading all bathrooms with completely touchless fixtures and faucets.
  • Construction and installation of new doors from the Marcia Israel-Curley Founders Room to the outdoor Audrey Skirball Kenis patio, allowing for more access to airflow. Construction was completed under the guidance of UCLA to preserve the historic architecture of the building.
  • Paperless ticketing and programs will be available to all patrons.
