DEREK DELGAUDIO’S WORLD PREMIERE OF IN & OF ITSELF
EXTENDS AT THE GEFFEN PLAYHOUSE THROUGH JUNE 26TH DUE TO
UNPRECEDENTED SINGLE TICKET SALES

FRANK OZ DIRECTS WITH ORIGINAL MUSIC BY MARK MOTHERSBAUGH

LOS ANGELES (March 21, 2016) – Due to unprecedented single ticket sales, the Geffen Playhouse has extended IN & OF ITSELF, the latest production by writer, performance artist and award-winning magician Derek DelGaudio and directed by four-time Emmy winner Frank Oz for two weeks through June 26th, 2016 in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. The unique theatrical experience featuring original music by Mark Mothersbaugh and presented in association with Tom Werner, begins May 3 and was originally set to run through June 12th.
DelGaudio’s 2012 record-breaking Nothing to Hide enjoyed a 144 performance run, the highest daily and weekly box office sales for the Geffen’s more intimate venue and grossed over $1 million in revenue before transferring to New York City.
A radically new show, IN & OF ITSELF is constructed as a metaphoric labyrinth, filled with allegorical illusions and centered around a single paradoxical truth. “Developing this show has been a transformative experience,” said DelGaudio, “What began as a deeply personal endeavor has evolved into this remarkable collaboration.”
"Derek isn't just raising the bar, he's moving the whole stadium. He's changing the game, and it's exhilarating to watch." - David Blaine
Ticket prices are currently $100 - 150 and are available in-person at the Geffen Playhouse box office, via phone at 310.208.5454 or online at www.geffenplayhouse.org. Fees may apply.
