PLAY DEAD INTO THE NEW YEAR

PLAY DEAD INTO THE NEW YEAR

THE GEFFEN PLAYHOUSE EXTENDS MAGICIANS
TODD ROBBINS’ AND TELLER’S HIT CREATION THROUGH JANUARY 12

LOS ANGELES (December 13, 2013) – Los Angeles is alive with the screams and laughter coming from the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. The critically-acclaimed hit show Play Dead has been extended through January 12, 2014. Created by magicians Todd Robbins and Teller (of Penn & Teller fame), Play Dead is an homage to the midnight spook show where the audience is plunged into can’t-see-your-hand-before-your-eyes blackness that is sure to make one grasp their date. The charming Todd Robbins leads an evening of spooky entertainment that involves flying spirits, an on stage murder, demon extraction surgery and merry tales of the macabre.

The stories and events of this interactive production contains some disturbing images, strobe effect, theatrical haze, interactivity, brief moments of nudity and a great deal of fun. Audiences are surrounded by sights, sounds and touches of the returning dead. Material may be inappropriate for the faint of heart – or those under 18.
